O.N.E! 

we had a sonogram this morning and confirmed that there is indeed only ONE baby.  whew!  we had her search to make sure no one was playing hide and seek in there. 

now, for the mystery.  why am i only NINE weeks and look like i'm FOUR months pregnant?  what a bummer.  can you imagine what i'll look like by january.  ugh. 

numbers we learned ... i am about NINE weeks.  my due date is february FIRST. 

karsyn did arrive two weeks early, so we'll see how long this one makes it. 

praise God the baby looked very healthy and its heart was beating strong.

{ summer days }

we haven't done a whole lot so far this summer mainly because of my nausea, but it's slowly getting better.  i go to the doctor wednesday to get some medicine so we'll be good to go after that.  i go to the doctor again on july 14th to find out if there is one or two babies.  yes, you read that right.  there are twins all over my family.  i'm a little suspicious because i'm only 10 weeks i think and i already look like this ...

now, i know i wasn't skinny before, but this is obvious baby belly.  10 weeks, so the doctor says.  i didn't look like that with karsyn until i was 5 months.  pray for my sanity until the 14th. 

and karsyn?  she's up to no good.  she is hilarious and so smart.  she's officially figured out how to open every door in our house, which lead us to target to buy baby proof things for the door handles.  our dog, colby, is now bobbie.  or at least that's what karsyn calls her.  she tells/signs to everyone she sees "thank you" without us telling her.  she's so sweet.  and she now is attached to a big stuffed dog.  he's super cute, but takes up way too much room.  so we now have a dog and a blankie to maneuver around.  it's been hard to explain to her why puppy can't take a bath with her because he does everything else the same.  he even sits at the table with us.  yes, she's spoiled.  that was established long ago.

we spend our summer days like this ... (note: my child does have plenty of clothes, they just don't appear in pictures.  what's the point when she's playing in water at home, right?)

{ want an update? }

blogging just hasn't been on the top of my "to-do" list lately.  once i start feeling like a normal person again, i'll get back to it.  i have so much to tell. 

for now, i stay close to the couch and the bathroom.  the nausea ... oh, the nausea.  so far, it's worse than it was with karsyn.  i'm not throwing up as much, but the nausea ... ugh.

i missed a whole week of mother's day out.  tomorrow it comes again and i'm going to do my best to be there.  we'll see.  chasing 12 two-year-olds doesn't sound much fun right now. 

pray for me.  as soon as i go back to the doctor, i'm getting medicine.  this time, i'm not waiting 6 months.

karsyn has broke the news to everyone.  no more secrets here.

the nausea has set in very well.  since being pregnant, i'm having to quickly ween off some medicine i was on, which has caused nausea as well.  i'm hoping it goes away soon.  i am VERY thankful for my favorite man being home to chase karsyn around because i haven't gotten far from the toilet. 

to answer questions ...

no, we were not planning this.  it was surely a big surprise to us as i'm sure it is to you.  since this wasn't planned, i'm not even sure how far along i am.  doctor said probably 7 weeks, but i won't know until i go back for a sonogram.  we're looking at late january 09 for baby hill #2.  karsyn and the new addition will be about 25 months apart.

and, YES, we will, once again, keep the name a secret ... for all you baby name bashers out there.

{ sewing basics }

can anyone teach me how to sew?  i have a sewing machine and need a hobby.  i think i could make some fun things.  i have ideas.  so, if you can teach me ... hollar!

{ unmotivated }

... to do anything, that is.  you see, we have big changes coming to the hill house.  all of which we'll announce later when we really know what's going on as well.  just wanted to keep you in suspense. 

i've been a little unmotivated lately to blog.  i have tons of pictures to post.  tons of stories to tell.  and all i have is a lack of motivation to do it.  that "lack of" carries on to everything else too.  you should see my house!!
