. the world needs more blue eyed babes .

 

that's my girl.  her eyes melt the hearts of many.  she looks so sweet and innocent.  until she speaks.  here's a few of the latest ...

* when she knows she's doing something she shouldn't ... "i wuv you mommy"

* after she goes to the potty ... "i went poo poo mommy.  high five!"  after i give her a high five, she says "i touched my poo poo!"  nice.

* after she's been "taking a nap" for only a few minutes ... she knocks on her door.  when i open it, she yawns and stretches and says "i awake mommy." 

* famous words these days ... "i can do it all by myself."

* in public, when we go to the restroom ... very loudly she says "good job, mommy.  you're a big girl."

* when she sees a bra ... "that's for your boobies, mommy."  the best was so very loudly in the middle of target.

* tonight she said "daddy's cool."

i love that girl.

. at 5 months .

 

my mykah

... smiles at anything and everything.

... wants to feed herself her bottle, but can really only hang on to it for about 30 seconds.

... loves "sitting up" in our laps.  and don't even thinking about putting her down. 

... likes (REALLY LIKES) to be walked around the house so that she can see EVERYTHING and look out the windows.

... has tried rice cereal for the first time.  not a big fan.  and it makes her tummy hurt.

... tests every new toy out by first putting it into her mouth.

... is loving the exersaucer.

... is still not a big fan of the swing.

... still HATES tummy time.

... smiles at me from across the room.

... TALKS to us about everything.  her excited squeals are the best.

... and is a never-ending source for our entertainment and joy.

i LOVE calling her MINE!

i do not like to venture many places with two kids.  i'm still adjusting to the fact that taking multiple children anywhere can be such a pain.  and i try to avoid conflict in any way possible, so adding kids to the mix usually results in more meltdowns than i would prefer to dream of.  don't worry, it'll get better.  i decided though that i had to cowboy up and make it a fun weekend for all of us. 

this was karsyn's first time to the beach.  (mykah's too).  and karsyn would still be there if we wouldn't have forced her to come home.  she soaked up all the water, while mykah soaked up the sun (yes, we used sunscreen and had an umbrella).  mykah had her best naps that weekend outside.  there's just something about that cool ocean breeze on your face.

we also ventured to moody gardens while we were in the area.  karsyn loved it.  i think the aquarium was her favorite.  we ate popcorn on the paddleboat and karsyn crashed hard on our way back to the hotel.  i've never seen her so tired before.
