i apologize for my lack of any content that is worthy of being read here lately. well, there's been nothing. i got nothing ... up until now. i hadn't downloaded pictures from camera to computer in a while, so i have things to talk about for a few days anyways.
first, i'll start off with our weekend. this past one, that is. we were in san antonio visiting my family. saturday found us in my big hometown watching the parade. small town texas parades. gotta love 'em, right? here's karsyn enjoying herself while waiting for the parade to begin.
after the parade, we headed to the san antonio sunken gardens to ride the train. that trip consisted of keeping karsyn from jumping into the water, picking flowers, and throwing rocks at another kid. she had a blast, but we were all worn out by the days end. here's a few snapshots of the trip.
karsyn and daddy on the train.
the dreaded mommy and karsyn picture. ugh. why am i posting this?
she loved looking at the fish in the water below the bridge. so much she almost climbed over the side and joined them for an afternoon swim. she had one foot over the rail and was going in.
the train we rode. complete with one of those trying-to-be-funny-so-the-kids-laugh tour guides. quite cheesy, i must say, but fun.
we ended the weekend with some yummy, fresh-off-the-tree peaches from my poppy's garden. karsyn loved them and actually ate a few of them over the course of the weekend. and, we got lucky and brought some home too! mmmmmm ...
so, there it is folks. just what you've been waiting for. more to come. promise.
Great! Looks like fun!
ReplyDeleteAs many times as we've been to SA, I don't know about this garden and train! You will have to tell me more, and where to find it. Not sure if we're going this summer or not??
Cute pics... Looks like you guys had a great time! We went to the SA zoo several years ago but went in JULY!!! Um, lesson learned! That is definitely a Spring/Fall trip. I'm with Becky... I don't know anything about the sunken gardens but we did ride the train at the zoo. We also went to Sea World that same trip. I repeat... a Spring/Fall activity!!!
ReplyDeleteKeep the pics coming!
