. sweet days .

my girls are growing up way too fast.  i'm trying to be patient and enjoy my time with them and not to focus so much on the things that i think i need to do.  the kitchen will always be dirty.  the floors will always be sticky.  there will always be laundry on the floor.  but my girls won't be little for very much longer.  any chance we get, i want to use it just being together and making sweet memories.

karsyn is five.  she acts 15 most of the time, but i thoroughly enjoy her innocence.  today she was telling mykah all about Jesus in the car on the way home from church.  it made me never want to leave church again.  it was the sweetest thing.  she even told her that old people die and go to heaven to be with Jesus.  david and i snickered in the front seat, but i was so very thankful they were able to talk to each other about Jesus and how much He loves them.

this is a different kind of editing i did on this picture of mykah, but i love that it captures her dark features.  she's one of a kind!  and the funniest kid i've ever known.  she's hysterical!  and she knows that in 11 days she will turn 3.  she doesn't understand why policemen only let 5 year olds sit in a booster seat with a seat belt.  and certainly doesn't like waiting until the next meal to eat.  i've always called her my spitfire, and she still fits that mold.

and they go hand in hand.  most of the time.  they certainly do fight like sisters fight, but they love each other more than i ever imagined.  and wouldn't you know, they would both want to ride on one 4-wheeler together instead of riding on their own.  i could have saved some money!  they took turns driving for the longest time, until mykah forgot to hold on and flipped off, scraping up her elbow.  luckily she didn't hit her head.  then the fun was over.  i'm so very thankful i have two girls.  i love the sweet bond of sisters and my heart melts every single day watching them and listening to them play.  karsyn is the typical big sister, very protective and teaches mykah the most amazing things.  and mykah is the typical little sister, picking on karsyn, taking her toys, and pestering her every chance she gets.

what a sweet life it is with these two.  and i wouldn't have it any other way.
