. soccer game #2 .
what a game. and i'm sitting here a proud mama. we talked it up all week and discussed how our behavior was going to be this week. we got up early. had a great breakfast. took our time. and all was well. there was never any doubt that she would react the same way she did last week. she did amazing!
she even did this ...
we were EXTREMELY proud of her. and we did our best to show her how proud. we did have a list of bribes we had to fulfill, but i think our outpouring of excitement, congratulations, and good-job's did way more for her than the sno cone or movie could ever do.
here's an action shot. with the boys.
and, for the record, there was lots of this ....
she even did this ...
SHE SCORED! twice. her teammate maely and her worked together to finish two points and she was so excited. as was i. she played great the entire game. got to kick off a few times and even throw the ball in.

we have recently discovered a new hairstyle that she is in love with. for now. the little side braid into a ponytail. but she plays with the ponytail all day. i'm loving it. because of her curly hair, the little ponytail in the back turns into one big ringlet. super duper cute. between all the twiddling of the hair, she did amazing. and i couldn't be more proud.

. 91/365 .
a new use for plastic easter eggs in our house. i simply wrote the capital letter on one part and the lowercase on the other. the big girls spend 30 minutes playing with these. karsyn is big into writing these days, but hasn't quite mastered the difference between upper and lowercase leters, so hopefully this will help.
on a side note ... i didn't realize i had a freckle on my left pointer finger until i edited this picture. yes, that finding could forever change me.
. words to remember .
i have tried to keep posting things my girls say so i could have them forever. let's just say that in this stage of the game, sweet baby is a do-er, not a say-er and i've had to apologize to my mother once again.
sweet baby is is a toddler bed now and has recently discovered the art of getting out of bed and quietly standing next to me while i'm in my own bed sleeping peacefully. that's it. she just stands there. and breathes heavily. she never says a word and it's pitch black in there so i can't really see, but i can sense that someone is standing there. FREAKS me out!! i used to do that same thing to my mother.
