{ tears }

right now i am going through the emotional stage of pregnancy.  i get worked up about everything and get so teary-eyed constantly.  recently i have struggled with karsyn being my only child for only five more months.  my relationship with her will never be the same because i will have to share my time.  i will seldom have one on one time with her and am planning on setting time each week for her only.  with this struggle, i'm having a hard time letting her go see grandparents without me, even though i need the break.  i want her to be away only for a short time.  and she must be home on sundays because those are our only days home with my favorite man.

today, my struggle is learning to love another child just as much as i love her.  i'm crying as i type this because i just put her to bed and every night she kisses me and says "i wov woo".  without me asking.  since my favorite man started back to school and football, most of the time he misses putting her to bed.  tonight is one of those nights, and after she kissed me, she leaned over and said "dada" and pretended to kiss him too.  it broke my heart.  as much of a monster as she can be sometimes, she has and shows all the love in the world at the end of the day.  no matter how many times i make her mad or spank her, she always kisses me and tells me she loves me.  and she certainly misses her daddy which is wearing on him in only his third week of football practice.

i have to stop being such a sissy, but that kids just amazes me and i love her so much.  how will i share my love with another child?  i know i will.  i know it's possible, but it seems so impossible tonight.

{ happy birthday wishes }

today, my sweet friend, jasey celebrates her birthday.  she lives too far for me to celebrate with her, so i thought i'd let the world know that she's a year older.

Jasey1

i stole this picture off of her myspace page, so hopefully she doesn't mind.

happy birthday, sweet friend.  i love you and miss you and wish you the best.  now hurry up and get back to texas so i can hug your neck.  here are 10 things i love about my friend.

1.  she's an awesome wife and mother (especially for what she has to work with)  :)

2.  she thinks of others first.

3.  she takes awesome pictures.

4.  she's very creative and a wonderful decorator.

5.  she's so stinking crazy and funny.

6.  she drives a purple car.

7.  she lives in oklahoma.  for whatever reason she decided it was more important to live close to her family than to me.  ugh.

8.  she's super smart.

9.  she loves me for who i am.  at least i think she does.

10. she loves my God too.

{ a case of the mondays }

ok everyone.  let's hear it.

my monday hasn't been too bad actually.  the worst things that happened was that karsyn only took an hour and a half nap instead of two hours and she got 4 mosquito bites this evening.

my case of the mondays has to do with how stinking tired i am.  i think i even took a nap while karsyn was eating a snack and watching cartoons this afternoon.  oops.  does that go down as a bad mom mark?  late nights on weekends always catch up on mondays.

how about you?  did you have the case of the mondays?

{ 20 months }

Karsyn

i love that picture of my sweet baby.  thank you DN for taking it and thank you to my friend jasey in oklahoma for adding to it.  karsyn is now 20 months old.  what a big girl.  we celebrated by going to the circus in austin.  more pictures of that to come.  she LOVED it.

here are 20 things about my big girl.

*she still LOVES to play outside.  her pop just bought her a new trampoline that she thoroughly enjoys.

*her favorite food is strawberries.  can you believe she is a picky eater?

*she loves to play with shoes, but really hates to have to wear them.

*she loves to "go swimming" (aka taking a bath ... thank you Nana)

*asks about everyone she knows by name, at least 5 times a day (especially the neighbor kids)

*enjoys her morning "tatoons" (cartoons)

*mickey mouse is her favorite, hands down

*she is still off the charts in height, but now 90th percent in weight.  and can you believe the doctor said she has a big head.  he actually said "she has a big brain", but still ... i knew what he meant

*she is saying more phrases now, like "dada work", "dada hurry", "please juice"

*she still does sign language for please, thank you, more, all done, and now she does milk

*her favorite game is hide and seek.  she tells us to "hide" all the time.

*favorite songs are "itsy bitsy spider" & "if you're happy and you know it"

*says "OK" to everything.  she makes it sound like it was your idea to begin with.  for example: she'll say "outside? OK!"  she doesn't even let you get a word in.

*she knows her animal sounds.  several of them have hand motions that go along.

*she loves planes and trains, but big trucks scare her.

*she loves to play babies.  she lays them on a blanket so they can go "nigh nigh" and tries to feed them everything she eats.  so if you see a baby with smashed strawberries or crackers in it's mouth, it's probably ours

*really gets a thrill out of pestering our poor little dog, colby (aka "bobbie")

*still clings to her blankie, which she refers to as "bebe".

*tells me she has to go potty immediately after she's pooped in her diaper.

*and lastly, so sweetly gives us bedtime kisses and says "i wove woo".  melts my heart every time.
