The ones I pretty much stalk
Are you a blog stalker? I am. I admit it. I have a few that I check/read daily and I wanted to share them with you.
1) Bower Power - Katie Bower is HILARIOUS. Not only does she post awesome DIY projects they have done in their just-as-awesome house, but the humor she adds is just what I like. She's entertaining as well as helpful, knowledgeable, and handy.
2) Little Baby Garvin - Jessica Garvin. I love her. And her house. And her babies. And her style. She shares my love for all things white, which is probably what draws me to her blog. She's THE best chalkboard writer too.
3) Queen of the Kings - Katy King is a new friend. I actually met her at the local pool one day. Then at her garage sale a few weeks later. Katy, if you are reading this - I have a girl-crush on you and your tiny Kings. Y'all are adorable. Katy is real, which is what draws me to her blog. She is an amazing writer with such a way with words. It's real life there and I love that.
4) Jenny Collier - I love everything about this blog too. Her pictures are wonderful. Her kids are adorable. And her style is amazing.
If you have a favorite that you think I'd enjoy, send it on over in the comments! I always love finding new ones to stalk.

Friends
We are one week in to the new school year. I could cry. I'm not, but I could. I seriously miss summer. Not the heat. It's still here and I definitely wish it would find it's way to the other side of the world for a while. I miss our lazy days. I miss not having to get up and out. It's been a hard transition. The one who has had the hardest time is the one who started kindergarten. She's done MUCH better than I thought she would, but my girl is T.I.R.E.D. She has had her moments where she fusses about having to go to school, but she comes home so excited to tell me about her day.
And the one thing that has helped ...
If Mykah has it her way, this will be in their wedding slideshow. She's slightly obsessed with this sweet boy, but I'm not so sure we should be planning the wedding just yet. Maybe we should learn to tie shoes first. They are in the same class, so the thought of getting to play with Jayden at recess spurs her on to actually getting in the car to head to school in the mornings.
I'm so thankful my kids have such sweet friends at school!

Like father, like son
While at the pool, a group of guys (and 1 girl) showed up to play some basketball. My mind went directly to "dude, it's so stinking hot out here. why in the world would you want to be out playing basketball?' It was like 4pm. H.O.T.T.
My little guy, though, got out of the pool and stood at the fence just to watch. Something his daddy would do - minus the life jacket. {I know you all just got a mental picture of Mr. Hill with a puddle jumper floaty on though}
